Situation
Many small to
medium-sized
companies are caught in a difficult situation;
when they grow and their existing software (usually an entry
level one) cannot meet their requirements
anymore.
 They face the burden to maintain and file
statutory reports to Government agencies
(like IRAS and ACRA) with their out-dated
software. While larger companies have the
flexibility to implement ERP system to manage these,
our growing
enterprises rely mainly on the same labor pool
that grew with the company.
Many these
SMEs
do not have the expertise to oversee an ERP
implementation, but they realize their need to
upgrade from labor intensive to automated
processes.
Government Assistance Schemes
 In Singapore, SMEs make
up more than 95% of our total enterprises and
contribute 45% of Singapore's Gross Domestic
Product. Recognizing the importance of SMEs,
government institutions like SPRING Singapore
and Ministry of Manpower have in place grants to help
these SMEs develop newer and better
capabilities. A2000 helps growing
enterprises manage all that with Government
support grants.
